French Antique Ceramic Tiles in Blue and White from Desvres, Set of 9
A set of nine French antique Desvres faience tiles in blue & white. These transfer printed, earthenware tiles were manufactured in the late 1900's in Desvres, Northern France. The tiles are back-stamped. Each tile is decorated in cobalt blue on a white tin-glazed ground, centred with a stylised starburst motif and framed within a manganese-purple diamond border.
